District Financials

                                             Fiscal Fast Facts
● Chardon’s annual revenue is approximately $34 million dollars

● Revenue stream: local taxes 67%, state support 27%, other sources 6%

                                       Fiscal Challenges
● The elimination of the Tangible Personal Property (TPP) tax reimbursement for Chardon Local Schools results in a loss in revenue close to $1 million dollars annually

● Chardon lost over $580,000 to charter and e-schools in the 2016-17 school year; comparable losses are expected on a yearly basis

● Chardon receives approximately $1,270 per student from the state while charter schools receive $6,010

● Due to the impact of these state reductions, the district has placed a 3.9 mil continuing operating levy on the November 2017 ballot. Almost half of this 3.9 millage request is due to the loss of the TPP reimbursement
